The Ghirardelli “Chocolocket” has returned for Valentine’s Day, with a fun twist this year.

San Francisco—The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is bringing back its “Chocolocket” ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The chocolatier debuted the 14-karat gold-plated locket last year, designed to look like its gold-foil wrapped chocolate squares. It opens to hold one mini Ghirardelli chocolate square.

The lockets were available for free, while supplies lasted, on the Chocolocket website.

This year, instead of one locket, the company is offering two in celebration of “perfect pairs.”

"The Chocolocket is our playful tribute to all the perfect pairs in our lives, whether that's best friends, siblings, coworkers, or romantic partners," said Bobby Oliver, Ghirardelli’s vice president of marketing.

"Just like Ghirardelli chocolate and caramel, moments are simply better when they’re shared with your perfect pair.”

Each pair of lockets comes in a heart-shaped tin with a personalized message celebrating the perfect pair. It also includes a bag of mini Ghirardelli chocolate squares.

The campaign reminds us that special moments are meant to be enjoyed together, said Ghirardelli.

This limited-edition set will be available starting Feb.10 at Chocolocket.com, while supplies last.
