Dukachi’s ‘Easter Bread’ Pendant
Featured

In some cultures, pastries are more than a sweet treat, embedded with symbolism, tradition, and celebration.
Ukrainian brand Dukachi took traditional pastries associated with the Easter holiday and translated them into jewelry for its latest collection, “Easter. A Reimagining.”
The “Easter Bread” pendant, our Piece of the Week, is one of two styles included in the collection.
Crafted in 14-karat yellow gold with hand-applied enamel and sapphire and diamond accents, this pendant was designed to reflect the silhouette of the traditional Ukrainian Easter bread—paska.
“Paska is a sacred holiday symbol tied to home, abundance, and renewal,” said the brand.
Similar to panettone, the sweet bread has a domed cylindrical form. The sapphires represent the raisins that are included in the recipe, and the pink, blue, and white enamel is the sugar or icing glaze.
Dukachi said it wanted to reflect its heritage through blending jewelry and pastry, as both forms carry memory, ritual, and beauty.
“They’re designed to feel like modern heirlooms: pieces that reflect where you come from and can be passed on with meaning. It’s our way of turning tradition into something you can live with and hold close,” said Dukachi co-founders Anna and Liza Knyzhenko in a joint statement to National Jeweler.
“For us, growing up in Ukraine, Easter was always a moment that connected family and meaning. These traditions shaped how we saw care, time, and memory. That’s why we chose to turn Easter traditional symbols into fine jewelry.”
A version of the Easter Bread pendant made with diamond accents is featured in Dukachi’s campaign video for the collection.
The video was created with Shoco, a Ukrainian bakery based in Lviv, Ukraine.
It merges the construction of the pendant and the creation of the pastry that it represents, showing a bench jeweler crafting the piece and a baker making a paska.
“‘Easter. A Reimagining’ brings together form, transition, and technique—creating jewelry that speaks to heritage though contemporary design,” said Dukachi.
The Easter Bread pendant with natural diamonds retails for $2,293. The version with lab-grown diamonds is priced at $1,610.
It is available on the Dukachi website, along with the complete “Easter. A Reimagining” collection.
