The emerald cutter was originally designed for grandmother emerald in the 16th century. In order to preserve as many original stones as possible, the grandmother's emerald was cut into rectangles. Then apply it to diamond cutting and name it "Emerald Cut Diamond" after my grandmother's emerald.
