DCA to Host Gemstone Selling Education Session at IJO Event

Diamond Council of America will host a live education session on selling colored gemstones on Feb. 28 at the Independent Jewelers Organization’s Colorado Springs conference.

New York—Diamond Council of America will host a live education session later this month at the Independent Jewelers Organization’s Colorado Springs conference.

The conference will be held Feb. 28 to March 3 at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

DCA will present the two-hour “Gemstone Live Sales Power Session” on Feb. 28, led by instructor Roxana Langloss.

The fast-paced introductory course will help attendees build confidence when selling colored gemstones.

“With our renewed commitment to providing quality and affordable distance education, this course will provide jewelers with an interactive look into the DCA Colored Gemstone course, an essential educational course in today’s gemstone driven retail environment,” said Annie Doresca, DCA president and CEO.

The nonprofit recently updated its colored gemstone course, adding new features like interactive flashcards and knowledge checks, and additional content on gemstone sources, treatments, and jewelry styles.

IJO is partnering with DCA to bring “meaningful, high-impact education” to its members, said Sam Larson, IJO director of vendor and partnership relations.

IJO provides marketing and educational opportunities to its retail members.
