Delaware Jeweler Felice Morris Dies at 91

Felice Morris, who ran A.R. Morris Jewelers with her husband Albert Morris, died on Jan. 11.

Philadelphia—Independent jeweler Felice Korr Morris died on Jan. 11 at the age of 91.

Morris was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Philadelphia to Rae and William Korr.

She was the second born of three children, which included her sister Zelda Pearl and brother Leonard Korr.

Morris began her career as a fashion model and make-up artist, according to an online obituary, and she was once the Miss Pennsylvania runner-up.

She met her to-be husband Albert Morris in 1962 while on a date with another man. He called a few days later to ask her out.

The couple worked together for more than 60 years, building their family and their jewelry business, A.R. Morris Jewelers in Greenville, Delaware.

They considered all customers to be family, a philosophy their family said was the foundation of their success.

A.R. Morris Jewelers is a source of pride for their family and community to this day, the obituary said.

Morris’ most cherished role was raising her children Stacey (Brian), Bret (Elisa), and Wendy (David) and being a “Mommom” to her grandchildren Ben, Harry, Sophie, Jake, and Cole.

She loved playing cards, creating beaded jewelry, watching black and white movies, shopping with her girls, and spending a day at the beach or at her pool, especially with her family.

Her impish smile and the twinkle in her eye will be missed by anyone blessed to have known her, her family said.

A funeral was held on Jan. 14 in Wilmington, Delaware.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Felice and Albert R. Morris Hebrew School Fund at Congregation Beth Shalom in Wilmington, Delaware.
