Police Searching for 2 Suspects in Murder of Father, Son Jewelers

Chicago—Police are sharing images of the individuals wanted for their involvement in the killing of two jewelers—a father and son—in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood.
On Friday, the Chicago Police Department posted a video to its YouTube channel showing the two suspects.
One is seen on the street wearing a hooded black North Face jacket, a baseball cap with a brown brim, black cargo pants, and gray sneakers.
The other individual seen in the video is the one who was caught on camera entering the jewelry store and, police say, is the man who shot and killed 63-year-old Faustino Alamo Dominguez and his son, 25-year-old Luis Angel Alamo.
He was wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey, tan bucket hat, tan pants, and black shoes.
The robbery homicide happened just before 6 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Joyeria Angelo’s.
According to information shared by Cook County Crime Stoppers, the man in the Blackhawks jersey went into the store, pulled out a gun and demanded jewelry before quickly exiting with the stolen items.
Surveillance video from a nearby business shared with ABC 7 Chicago shows one man follow the suspect out into the middle of the street, fight with him and then pursue him down the street.
Another man emerges from the business and runs after them both.
When the three men reached the corner of Springfield Avenue, the suspect shot and killed Dominguez and Alamo, both of whom later died at the hospital.
Funerals for both men are taking place today.
The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, reported to be a white Maserati SUV, headed south on Springfield Avenue.
The Jewelers’ Security Alliance is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for murdering Dominguez and Alamo, who were “beloved” in their community.
It is asking any jewelry store owners or employees who encountered individuals acting suspiciously or came into contact with the above-pictured individuals to call the JSA reward hotline at 212-687-0328 or email tips to jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org.
Tipsters may remain anonymous.
Cook County Crime Stoppers also is offering a $10,000 reward in the case, and JSA said Little Village Community Council President Baltazar Henriquez is offering a $20,000 reward as well.
