Sean Dunn Becomes President of J.R. Dunn

Sean Dunn has been appointed president of J.R. Dunn, the Lighthouse Point, Fla.–based jeweler.

J.R. Dunn’s vice president for the past 28 years, Sean takes over as president from his mother, Ann Marie Dunn, who cofounded the company.

On LinkedIn, Sean Dunn wrote that when his mother announced his new title, he was “completely humbled and quite frankly, speechless.

“Even though we had talked about this transition taking place, I always saw it as something more of a formality for legal description and symbolic. In our family, titles never created any kind of hierarchy. We worked together, side by side.

“But in that moment, I felt the true meaning of this role. It is not just a title. It is being entrusted with the responsibility of carrying two lifetimes of work and honoring the legacy my parents built from nothing.”

Before joining his family business, Dunn worked in sales at Ben Bridge.
