Alex Brown Named President of Smithee Group

Alex Brown has been promoted to president of the Smithee Group, a digital strategy and brand growth agency that has many jewelry clients.

In her new role, Brown will oversee Smithee’s operations, team leadership, and client partnerships.

She served as its vice president of operations for eight years.

Longtime CEO Ben Smithee will transition to a new role—founding partner and strategic adviser. He will remain actively involved in the agency’s vision, strategy, key initiatives, thought leadership, and client innovation, as well as mentoring its executive team, according to a statement.

“This is not a departure,” Smithee said in the statement. “It’s a deepening of our structure to allow for greater impact.”
