San Leandro, Calif.—In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is offering a bite-sized blend of two popular holiday gifts—chocolate and jewelry.
The Ghirardelli “Chocolocket” is a 14-karat gold-plated locket designed to resemble the confectioner’s gold foil-wrapped chocolate squares.
The inside features a compartment sized to hold one mini Ghirardelli chocolate square, as well as an engraving that reads, "Love you like chocolate."

It comes packaged in a keepsake tin and includes an assortment of Ghirardelli squares.
"Ghirardelli chocolate is synonymous with Valentine's Day, and this year, we want to find a playful and unique way to help gift givers make life a bite better for the chocolate lovers in their lives," said Bobby Oliver, vice president of marketing at Ghirardelli.
"The Chocolocket perfectly combines two of the most popular Valentine's Day gifts: chocolate and jewelry. For those lucky enough to get their hands on one, we know this will be a very memorable gift."
The limited-edition Chocolocket will be available in limited quantities via two product drops, the company said. The first offering sold out Tuesday, and the second drop took place at 3 p.m. EST today.
The lockets were sold out before 3:20 p.m.
Delivery is intended in time for Valentine's Day.
