Pantone is recognised worldwide for its influence on colour and last month released the colour palette for autumn. Each season, Pantone conducts a survey with the designers involved with New York Fashion Week to anticipate the prominent colours of the forthcoming season.

This autumn, a collection of undertones combined with ultra feminine hues will feature in the fashion world. The “palette of many moods” blends sophisticated shades with lively and energetic tones.

The greens from spring advance and evolve. Pantone’s colour of the year, Emerald, continues to charm, while Linden green provides a sense of brightness to the otherwise deep colours on the palette.

Mykonos blue is calming, classic and meditative while the purple of Acai adds a sense of luxury and richness to the colour spectrum.

The spirited colours of autumn include the dramatic red of Samba, the statement orange of Koi and the wild and boisterous pink of Vivacious.

The staple colours of the season are the naturally luscious Deep Lichen green, a dark grey called Turbulence that strengthens the more vivid colours on the palette and Carafe, a glamorous shade of brown.
