Graff Diamond Ring Takes Spotlight at Freeman’s Auction

A Graff ring with a 13.11-carat diamond brought in $368,800 at a recent Freeman’s auction, beating its upper estimate and becoming the New York sale’s top lot.

In total, the December 11 Important Jewelry sale garnered $4.5 million, with 91% of the lots finding buyers, Freeman’s said Monday.

The leading ring, which had a high estimate of $350,000, features an oval brilliant-cut, H-color, VS1-clarity diamond between two shield-shaped diamonds weighing about 0.95 each. Other lots that sold included pieces from Bulgari, Tiffany & Co. and Cartier.

“The stellar results of our final jewelry auction for 2025 achieved a $1 million year-over-year increase,” said April Matteini, head of the Freeman’s jewelry department, noting that this was the auction house’s second year at its Upper East Side gallery.

This Tiffany & Co. ring bears an oval, 4.36-carat Paraiba-type tourmaline from Mozambique, with a halo of round diamonds weighing a total of 0.61 carats.
