New York—The Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) has named the recipient of the 2025 AGA Gemological Education Scholarship.

This year’s winner is Morgan Keefe, who currently serves as treasurer of the Georgia chapter of GIA’s Alumni Collective.

The scholarship will help Keefe to complete the GIA Graduate Gemologist diploma program.

Her interest in gemology began when she was shopping for a ring with her grandmother, said AGA.

“That experience opened her eyes to the powerful intersection of science, artistry, and storytelling that defines fine jewelry,” said the organization.

Inspired by that experience, Keefe wanted to merge her marketing background with her love of gems and jewelry, with the goal of being a marketing resource for jewelry businesses.

Keefe holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a minor in graphic design.

AGA shared its congratulations to Keefe on her accomplishment.

“Morgan brings a unique combination of creativity, business acumen, and a deep appreciation for the jewelry craft,” said AGA.

“Her mission is to elevate jewelry brands through strategic branding, compelling consumer education, and an authentic understanding of the products at the heart of the industry.”
