How do we cultivate diamonds in the laboratory?

There are many methods for manufacturing laboratory diamonds, among which there are two main ones:

Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) involves placing high-quality diamonds (or any other heat-resistant material) in a vacuum chamber containing various gases or carbon materials. Then, the material is heated to an extreme temperature (approximately 700 ° to 900 °), allowing crystals to gradually form on the initial "seed" diamond. It can be imagined as a fine composite composed of carbon materials, resembling rain, and finally aggregated into diamond crystals.

High temperature and high pressure method (HPHT), which mimics the process of natural formation, applies enormous pressure and heat to the "seed" diamond, causing crystal growth

After completion, the rough diamond embryo is obtained, which then requires cutting and polishing processes. In theory, there is no upper limit on the size and quantity of diamonds produced in the laboratory.
