The Chanel fashion show held in a New York City subway station last Wednesday, had a million ideas. Overall, it reminded me of why I fell in love with the Big Apple in the first place. It captured the city’s energy, the sense of possibility and a fact every New Yorker knows. The train can serve the world’s greatest fashion shows with the mashup of the styles people wear from all over town. If you are skeptical about the idea of seeing gowns on mass transit, you clearly haven’t ridden the train with one Ms. Lynn Yaeger, as I have.

Focusing in on the jewelry at Chanel, the shoulder dusters cemented the idea that long and lean earrings have returned to the forefront. Within the last month, I’ve noticed parallel styles all over the red carpet.
