Ecksand’s Aura Chrome Turns White Gold Jewelry Inside Out

Montreal jeweler Ecksand is making a compelling case for white gold.

The fine jewelry brand has expanded its popular Aura concept with a new white gold collection, Aura Chrome. Previously available only in yellow gold, Aura is rooted in movement and transformation and is designed as a kinetic experience—jewelry meant to be touched, flipped, and engaged with. As the company describes it on its website, “One touch is enough to create an empowering chain reaction, where each detail sparks the next and the atmosphere reshapes in response.”

At the heart of the Aura design are reversible half-moon elements—on one side, the crescents are accented with pavé diamonds; flip them over and they reveal a clean surface of brushed gold. The mechanism offers two distinct looks in a single piece—an elegant feat of technical engineering brought to life through artisanal Canadian craftsmanship, an attribute the jeweler is eager to demonstrate.

Ecksand released the white gold versions of Aura in late January. “The name Chrome reflects clarity, reflectivity, and restraint,” a statement from the brand reads. “Its cool-toned surface reinforces the collection’s crisp geometry and disciplined lines. Where Aura introduced warmth, Chrome brings definition.”

At first glance, the aligned crescents evoke phases of the moon, giving the pieces an unmistakably celestial feel. The half-moons are beautifully tactile, like a wearable luxury fidget for those who like to keep their hands in motion.
