New York—New York City jeweler Briony Raymond has introduced her first fragrance.
The Briony Raymond eau de parfum features notes of florals mixed with stone fruit, honey, frankincense, cedarwood, sandalwood, and cashmeran.
The fragrance is shaped by the jeweler’s namesake brand’s belief that beauty resonates most when it holds meaning.
The choice to launch a fragrance was a natural evolution for the brand, it said, and came from Raymond’s connection of both fragrance and jewelry as marks of special occasions and reminders of time, place, and emotion.
As a child, she would craft her own scents by taking empty perfume bottles from her mother’s room to fill with lily of the valley blossoms from the garden mixed with oil and water.
These memories from her early years inspired her to compose a fragrance that feels feminine, comforting, and enduring.
The formula for the Briony Raymond eau de parfum took two years and dozens of iterations to perfect.
The brand said it hopes the fragrance will become a companion for the women who inspire Raymond every day, moving through the world with grace, strength, and intention.
The eau de parfume uses notes of natural jasmine, sambac, tuberose, neroli, orange flower, stone fruit, honey, frankincense, cedarwood, sandalwood, and cashmeran.
It is held in a cobalt blue fluted glass bottle that mirrors the Briony Raymond atelier. It was inspired by a set of antique crystal jars that adorn the atelier and were gifted to Raymond by her mother.
The bottle’s gilt cap is a nod to the brand’s “Sloan” ring, with an outer loop adapted from the ring’s silhouette. It was hand-carved in wax and then refined by the manufacturer to achieve the desired feel, heft, and finish, the brand said.
The fragrance is packaged in a box that reimagines the brand’s jewelry case and was designed to feel like opening a jewel itself.
The Briony Raymond eau de parfum is set to be released Dec. 3.
It retails for $685.
It will be available in-store at the brand’s Madison Avenue atelier and online on its website.
Raymond founded her namesake brand in 2015, offering her jewelry collections, bespoke creations, and a curation of vintage jewels from houses including Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, and Bulgari.
