Silvia Furmanovichto Debut Nantucket-Inspired Capsule With Local Boutique

This summer, Brazilian jewelry designer Silvia Furmanovich unveils an exclusive capsule in collaboration with Nantucket boutique the Vault inspired by artistic and other traditions of the Massachusetts island.

Silvia Furmanovich x the Vault Nantucket, co-created with the Vault owner Katherine Jetter, will debut at the annual Nantucket by Design fair July 14 to 17 and then be available at Jetter’s boutique. The 60-piece collection includes jewelry, clutches, and picture frames.

For some of the jewelry, Furmanovich has reimagined Nantucket’s iconic woven baskets in miniature form. Designs featuring hydrangeas, Ponderosa motifs, and white gates (see above) also capture the spirit of Nantucket. Prices in the Vault collaboration range from $1,500 to $20,000.

“I have long admired the artisanal traditions of Nantucket—especially the island’s storied basketry, which resonates deeply with my own commitment to preserving and reinterpreting ancestral crafts,” Furmanovich said in a statement. “The care and precision found in Nantucket’s handwoven forms speak to the same values that guide my work, from marquetry to goldsmithing.”

Furmanovich, a four-time Couture Design Award winner in the Innovation category, is known for fusing ancient techniques with contemporary design. Her signatures include intricate marquetry, use of 18k yellow gold and vibrant stones, and handwoven bracelets. The permanent collections of the Hispanic Society Museum in New York and the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) include pieces by Furmanovich. In September, Rizzoli will publish her book Journey of a Jeweler, to celebrate 25 years of her brand.

On the first day of Nantucket by Design, Furmanovich will appear on a “Cross Roads: Global Inspiration Meets Fashion & Design” panel, alongside JJ Martin of La DoubleJ and Veronica Swanson Beard.

For the Vault founder Jetter, the partnership with Furmanovich represents a union of two passions. “It feels very special to bring two of my loves—Nantucket and jewelry artistry—together with such an admired fellow designer,” she said in a statement. “I cannot wait to share this collection with the world.”
