Jam Out With Sorellina’s Jimi Hendrix-Inspired Jewels

New York—Sorellina has launched the continuation of last year’s “Playlist” collection. The new offering, titled “Electric Dreams,” focuses on a different musician.

For “Playlist: Electric Dreams,” the designers looked to Jimi Hendrix and Electric Lady Studios—the famous recording studio in New York City commissioned by the artist in 1968—as the muse of its new pendants, charms, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings.

The collection focuses on Hendrix’s song “Little Wing,” turning his poetic lyricism and dreamlike imagery into fine jewelry featuring delicate wings, celestial motifs, and vibrant hues. 

It “captures the raw energy, ethereal beauty, and boundless creativity that defined an era of musical revolution,” said the brand.

“Jimi Hendrix wasn’t just a musician; he was a force of nature, a poet who painted with sound,” said Nicole Carosella, co-founder of Sorellina.

“With Electric Dreams, we wanted to translate that same transcendence into jewelry—something that feels as limitless and expressive as his music.”

The 18-karat yellow gold designs in the collection are set with a variety of colored gemstones, from amethyst to mother-of-pearl, pink tourmaline, green quartz, and diamonds.

The one-of-a-kind “Mushroom” charms, a highlight of the offering, are available in five variations, with pink tourmaline or opal and diamond accents.

The brand debuted new leather cords as well, with signature Sorellina clasps that “bring a fresh, rock-and-roll edge to the line, offering a modern yet timeless way to wear these musical talismans,” said the brand.

The Playlist: Electric Dreams collection debuted earlier this month at Couture and launched on Sorellina’s website on June 17.

It is an evolution of the initial collection, which focused on David Bowie and his character Ziggy Stardust. The hero piece was the “Cassette Tape” pendant, which won a 2024 Couture Design Award in the “Best in Innovation” category.

With the new Electric Dreams pieces, Sorellina said wearers can “experience the magic of Hendrix through a new medium—one that gleams, glows, and tells a story with every exquisite detail.”
